Lao Tizer
Lao Tizer是今年来在国际乐坛上极速冒起的耀眼新星，他在音乐中把当代爵士乐与70-80年代融合音乐(Fusion)大团Return To Forever、Mahavishnu Orchestra和Weather Report进行融合，为世界融合风(World Fusion)重新拟定了新的标准。2007年Lao Tizer得到许多世界级乐手的鼎力相助并共同创作推出了他的专辑《Diversify》：包括吉他手Jeff Kollman、著名三次艾美奖得主跨界爵士吉他大师Chieli Minucci等。2002年Lao被提名为最佳爵士新人，专辑《Diversify》在Billboard当代爵士类别上榜数周之久。
Driven by an explosive mix of jazz, rock, classical, jam band influences and Afro Cuban and world rhythms, Downbeat—the first studio album by TIZER, a multi-cultural band led by Boulder, CO native, keyboardist/composer Lao Tizer—throws down a high-powered collection of 12 brand-new originals on this scintillating release of fresh instrumental music from one of today’s rising stars of the world-fusion genre. Establishing themselves in the contemporary jazz world over the past few years, TIZER has spurred comparisons of a modern twist to the 70s and early 80s heyday of jazz fusion, when trailblazing ensembles like Return to Forever, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Weather Report set the aesthetic standard.
Over the past few years, TIZER—a 2011 nominee for “Jazz Group of the Year” --has taken their multi-faceted world fusion vibe around the globe, galvanizing thousands at events. While Lao was a “Best New Jazz Artist” nominee in 2002 and Diversify spent many weeks on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart, TIZER has a multi-genre, multi-national appeal that expands beyond just jazz enthusiasts. Their diverse resume includes performance slots alongside Zappa Plays Zappa, Jethro Tull, Isaac Hayes, Al Jarreau.
Eric Marienthal
现代爵士萨克斯手Eric Marienthal艾瑞克·马瑞安托1959年12月19日出生于加州沙加缅度。在他还是一位伴奏者的配角时，就已经让听众感受到他是一位富有创意的即兴演奏者。
他曾在柏克来音乐学院读了兩年，之后与Al Hirt做了七个月时间的旅行演奏。1986年时认识了钢琴手Chick Corea奇·柯瑞亚，随后认识ChickCorea的电子化乐团的萨克斯风手。艾瑞克·马瑞安托与钢琴手David Benoit以及吉他手Lee Ritenour一起在GRP唱片公司的全明星大乐团做巡迴演出。
艾瑞克·马瑞安托是当今现代爵士乐坛中少见的全面性萨克斯风名家，原本只在Jazz Club中演出的他，因被Fusion先驱Chick Corea奇·柯瑞亚发掘，因而使艾瑞克展开了一段崭新的演出生涯。除了跟著乐团展开世界巡回表演、推出个人专辑外，也在作曲、编曲上发挥创作的才能，全方位的当代爵士演绎在他身上，呈现最为令人击节而赞的感动诗篇。
After graduating high school inSouthern California in 1976, Eric went on to study at the Berklee College ofMusic in Boston, Mass. There he studied with the legendary saxophone professor,Joe Viola. By the time he left Berklee, Eric had achieved the highestproficiency rating given by the school. In 1995, Eric was awarded the BerkleeDistinguished Alumnus Award for outstanding achievements in contemporary music.He has since gone on to perform in over 75 different countries, recorded 14solo CD's and has played on hundreds of records, films, television shows andcommercial jingles.
Eric started his professional careerin 1980 with famed New Orleans trumpeter Al Hirt. After returning to LosAngeles Eric became a member of the Chick Corea Elektric Band. He recorded 6CD's with Chick Corea band and won 2 Grammy Awards. Eric went on to performwith artists such as Elton John, Barbara Streisand, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder,Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach, Aaron Neville, Johnny Mathis, Dave Grusin, LeeRitenour, George Duke, David Benoit, The Rippingtons, The Gordon Goodwin BigPhat Band, Patti Austin, Lou Rawls, David Lee Roth, The Yellowjackets, B.B.King, Ramsey Louis, Patti Labelle, Olivia Newton-John, and many others.
Among Eric's 14 solo CD's, his latestis entitled "Bridges", on Peak Records. Eight of the songs that Erichas recorded have made it to the top 10 of the National Contemporary Jazz RadioCharts and three have made it to #1. Eric was voted as being one of the year's"Favorite Alto Sax Players" in Jazziz Magazine's Reader's Poll alongwith David Sanborn and Phil Woods.
Chieli Minucci
美国跨界爵士吉他大师，格莱美提名乐队"Special EFX”创立者、领队。同时又是唱片制作人，作曲人，编曲人，三次获得美国最高电视电影音乐奖艾美奖。著名当代爵士乐厂牌Shanachie顶尖吉他手。
美国当代爵士乐——Crossover Jazz，Smooth Jazz，World Fusion吉他大师Chieli Minucci ，出过二十七张专辑，作品独树一帜，极富个性，Blues/Rock感觉的Crossover Jazz，总让人精神为之一振，有时他极具旋律性和感性的曲调又让人不知不觉沉醉在Smooth Jazz浪漫怡人的氛围中。从80年代的摇滚，传统爵士起点，到90年代初期的Smooth Jazz，再到90年代末2000后的当代Rock Jazz，Crossover Jazz，以及一直贯穿的世界融合风。
Renowned crossover jazz masterguitarist Chieli Minucci is the founder of Grammy Nominated Fusion Jazz band “Special EFX”. He is also a producer, composerand arranger. Chieli Minucci received 3 Emmy Awards for TV music. He is alsothe top guitarist of the famous contemporary jazz record label “Shanachie".
Contemporary crossover jazz, smoothjazz, world fusion guitar master Chieli Minucci has released 27 albums, withhis unique and highly personal approach, it is crossover jazz mixing with bluesrock which never lack of inspiration. Melodic and sensational, the playing andmusic of Chieli Minucci brought you the romantic side of smooth jazz. ChieliMinucci's music varies from 80s' rock, traditional jazz, smooth jazz in theearly 90s to the rock jazz, crossover jazz and world fusion of the wholeperiod.
Tinho Pereira
Tinho Pereira 出生在巴西，自2006年起开始担任JZ Club的驻场贝司手，生活在上海，并创作出他的个人专辑《Hand Made》。对于他来说，弹吉他就像巴西人天生会踢足球那么自然。他的父亲有一把吉他，六岁开始Tinho常躲在门背后看他练习，无师自通。家境并不富裕的Tinho展现出了傲人的才华，爸爸毅然决然送他去音乐学院学习。Tinho七岁开始在VILLA LOBOS 音乐学院学习古典吉他，5年后毕业，进入 Dr. Carlos de Campos音乐学院专攻电BASS。 从12岁开始Tinho就开始在各地演出，不单单是巴西，还有很多南美的国家。 2000年的时候，Tinho 首次去欧洲演出。伴随巴西著名手风琴演奏家Oswaldinho 在意大利参加音乐节。
Brazilian musician (guitarist,bassist, singer and producer) Tinho Pereira was born in Araraquara, city in thestate of São Paulo, Brazil.Tinho Pereira started to play acoustic guitar whenhe was 6 years old. At the age of 7, he began to study classic guitar at theVILLA LOBOS Conservatory of Music in his hometown. Five years later aftergraduating in Villa Lobos Conservatory, his thirst for music had yet to bequenched. He continued his studies at Dr. Carlos de Campos Conservatory inTatui City specializing in Electric bass guitar, music arrangements. At 12years old, he was playing in bars, night clubs, ballrooms and traveling aroundnot only Brazil but also other parts of South America.
Always eager to learn more, he sharedclasses with masters like Walter Falcoski, Henrique Pinto and Ana Maria Bedaque(Classic Guitar) and Mario Campos (Electric bass, arrangements and harmony).
In Brazil, he worked in studiosrecording, producing and playing in live concerts with different artists andbands. Tinho Pereira had performed in Europe accompanying the famous BrazilianAccordionist “Oswaldinho do Acordeon” at the Fisiarmonic Festival in ReggioEmilia City, Italy and USA (Hawai).
